Facebook Ads in Egypt: What Actually Determines the Price

There's no fixed number, and anyone who gives you one is misleading you

"How much does a Facebook ad cost?" is like asking "how much does a car cost?" — it depends entirely on what exactly you're targeting and who.

Ad spend and management cost are two different things

The first distinction to understand: what you pay Facebook (the ad spend) is different from the cost of managing the campaign (if you're working with an agency). Both matter, but they're calculated separately — know which one you're actually asking about.

Targeting changes the price, not the platform

An ad targeted at a very broad audience will cost less per click, but bring lower-quality customers. An ad targeted precisely at a specific audience (say, business owners in Cairo interested in marketing) will cost more per click, but can return more real customers. The cheaper price isn't always the better deal.

The time of year matters too

Ad prices in Egypt rise during certain seasons (Ramadan, holidays) because every business is competing for the same audience at the same time. If your plan has flexibility, you can get more from the same budget by running during less competitive periods.

The real advice: test before you scale

Any ad campaign should start with a relatively small test budget, get measured, and then scale up if it's working. Spending a large budget from day one with no testing is the single biggest cause of wasted ad spend we see.
